Strudel with strawberries and cream. Puff pastry strudel with strawberries recipe with photo. Puff pastry strawberry strudel: a classic recipe

This cake will be a wonderful decoration for any summer table. as it is suitable for the daily menu, and for treating guests. You can serve this delicious strudel with tea, coffee, compote or milk. But personally, I like to eat it with ice cream - this is the best combination for the summer season.

I suggest you cook the fragrant strawberry strudel "Minute" in the oven. Why such a name? Because it prepares well, very quickly. Yes. just a few minutes is enough to prepare, and the oven will do the rest. Let's see what products we will need.

Ingredients

  • 100 g puff pastry
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 2 tbsp potato or corn starch
  • 3 tbsp sugar (optional)
  • a few mint leaves
  • 1-2 tbsp butter for greasing the mold
  • egg for brushing the strudel
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds for sprinkling

How to cook strawberry strudel step by step

  1. First, let's defrost the puff pastry. You can cook it yourself in advance, or you can buy ready-made. Personally, I most often buy puff pastry, since preparing it is a rather laborious process. If you buy it most often, then you should choose a good dough made not with margarine, but with a mixture of margarine and butter (I have not seen a dough with butter on sale). Such a dough cannot be cheap, but it will also taste much better.
  2. We figured out the dough and now it can already be rolled out into a thin layer. If it is enlightened, then this will generally be the ideal thickness.
  3. Sprinkle the edge with starch so that the strawberry filling does not seep through the thin dough. It will certainly leak out, but not so much.
  4. Wash and clean strawberries. We spread the small berries whole, and cut the large ones into pieces. Add a few mint leaves for a spicy flavor. If the strawberries are sour, then at this moment you need to sprinkle it with sugar. This time I have berries, like honey, sweet, so sugar was not useful to me.
  5. Wrap strawberry strudel.
  6. Put it in a baking dish, which is pre-lubricated with butter.
  7. Lubricate the workpiece with a beaten egg.
  8. Sprinkle it with sesame seeds and send it to a hot oven to bake. Just 20 minutes you need to bake at a temperature of 200 degrees and the strudel with strawberries from puff pastry will be ready.
  9. Here is such a handsome man.
  10. We serve still warm crispy and very fragrant pastries with a scoop of ice cream. decorate with fresh mint and enjoy the summer.

It is famous not only for vegetable snacks and meat dishes. The local chefs also distinguished themselves by wonderful desserts. Among the many dishes served in the Czech Republic as a dessert, the famous Czech strudel (Český štrúdl).

To begin with, it is worth saying that this name came from the German language, from the word Strudel, which means “tornado” in translation. This confectionery was loved by German, Hungarian, and Austrian chefs.

The dish is a roll of very thin dough. The filling of the strudel can be very diverse.

Strudel began to be cooked everywhere, and over time it became a truly national Czech dish. Nowadays, any Czech housewife can cook strudel “with her eyes closed”. In any Czech restaurant you will be offered strudel for dessert, and in each establishment its taste will be different. According to your taste, you can taste strudel with strawberries, cherries, pears, cottage cheese, potatoes or even meat. The most common in the Czech Republic is Apple strudel(Jablečný štrúdl) with vanilla sauce.

To comply with all the rules, the dish should be prepared from thinly rolled dough. A real strudel is baked very quickly, and after that it does not get stale for a very long time.

Initially, this dish was conceived as a dessert, the filling of which could be chocolate with nuts, strawberries with strawberries, pears with apples, cherries with nuts, or cottage cheese with poppy seeds, but even here the Czechs found something to experiment with. The thing is that the taste and density of the dough is quite suitable for unsweetened fillings. Thanks to these experiments, dishes such as strudel with fish, meat, poultry, mushrooms, cabbage and potatoes are now available in the Czech Republic. It is impossible to choose one thing between sweet and hearty strudel! You need to try both.

Strudel can be prepared at home. In order to do this, nothing supernatural is required, and the dish that you get will certainly be that delicacy!

Welcome! Šusta Štrůdl is a small family bakery shop. The most delicious strudel in Prague is here!

And the last institution that needs to be mentioned - "Na Kampe 15"- this place has always been famous for its excellent strudel with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. However, on our last visit to my beloved wife, they served stale apple strudel with a taste of mold. Therefore, we do not recommend that you look there.

Enjoy your meal!

It consists of very thin dough in which the filling is wrapped. Thanks to this, the strudel got its name, which literally translates as whirlpool.

Traditionally, the dough is made from water and butter flour with a high gluten content. Kneading and stretching the dough by hand requires considerable effort, so it is often replaced with ready-made ones that can be bought at the store.

There was a saying in Vienna: “A conscientious baker draws out the dough so thinly that he can read love letters for his girlfriend through it.”

Because of this, it was believed that only confectioner in love can make the most delicious strudel.

Ingredients: 2 strudel

  • strawberries - 500 g.,
  • banana - 2 pcs. (medium),
  • ready-made filo dough - 1 pack (500 g.),
  • pine nuts - 2 handfuls,
  • cinnamon - 1 teaspoon,
  • poppy - 4 tablespoons,
  • powdered sugar - 4 tablespoons,
  • butter - 100 g.
  • yolk - 1 pc (optional)

Preparation: 50 minutes

1. Wash strawberries, cut into small cubes. Berries are best used fresh. Then they will not give a lot of juice, unlike frozen ones. And tastier. Peel the banana and chop it the same way as the strawberries.

2. Defrost filo dough in advance in the refrigerator. If there is no phyllo, the usual puff pastry without yeast will do. I usually move from the freezer to the fridge overnight if I'm going to bake during the day. Divide the dough into two equal parts. We will cook two strudel. Melt butter. Using a silicone brush, brush some pastry sheets with melted butter. I smeared 3-7-10 layers.

3. We will make two strudel at once at the same time. Therefore, we will take all the ingredients for the filling in equal parts. Put half of the strawberries on the topmost layer of dough, distribute half of the banana slices, sprinkle with two tablespoons of poppy seeds and powdered sugar. Leave a distance of 1.5 cm at the edges. Then evenly spread a handful of pine nuts between the berries and sprinkle everything with powdered sugar.

4. Put the oven to warm up to 170 degrees. To get a uniform roll, you need to carefully roll it. To do this, first bend the bottom layer, and then the side ones. After that, it will be convenient to roll the roll. It should be quite dense.

5. Place the strudel on a parchment-lined baking sheet, seam down. Roll the second roll in the same way. Lubricate the strudel with yolk. Get a golden crispy crust. You can not lubricate if you are a vegetarian or observe Great Lent. If you sprinkle the strudel with powdered sugar, as I did, the crust will not be visible. Place the strudel in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Cooking a truly delicious strudel is not an easy task. What is the preparation of the main and main ingredient - dough! Despite the simple set of ingredients for strudel dough, handling it requires experience and skill, as well as knowledge of culinary secrets. Typically, strudel is made using a very elastic stretch dough, which must be stretched to such an extent that the letters on the printed sheet are visible through the layer. But how many people want to mess with such a test? If you are one of those who do not like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, then prepare a strudel from ready-made puff pastry - the dessert will turn out both quick and tasty.

Sweet and tender strawberries will be an excellent filling for puff pastry strudel. Its berries are very juicy, which will make the filling almost creamy. But in order to not have too much juice, use a special trick - sprinkle the dough with crumbs from vanilla crackers: they will absorb excess juice, while maintaining tenderness and creaminess.

  • 250 grams of puff pastry without yeast
  • 200 grams of strawberries
