Predictions of Jesus Christ about the end of the world and about its second coming. Prophecies about the second coming of Christ

The Bible speaks of the second coming of Jesus Christ. How much can one believe this prophecy and many more predictions of modern and Old Testament prophets, what are the signs of the imminent coming of the Savior, is there a possibility for mankind to avoid a terrible apocalypse? Bible

At the very beginning of the book of Acts, it is written about how Jesus ascended in a cloud to heaven and simply disappeared from view. It goes on to say that two heavenly angels appeared to the disciples who saw this miracle and announced that Jesus would return just as he left. Other epistles clearly speak of the coming of the Son of Man from heaven in a cloud and that all nations will see His glory.
No one knows about the time of the advent, but it is not difficult to calculate this at all. There are a number of encrypted instructions and signs in the New and Old Testament, which are beginning to come true in our time.
For example, there is a clear reference to the explosion of Chernobyl in the book of Revelations, which speaks of a star named Wormwood (Chernobyl in Ukrainian), which will fall to the ground at the sound of the trumpet of the 4th angel and some of the waters will become bitter. We all know that this prophecy came true 20 years ago, with the explosion of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, when an ecological disaster occurred, the consequences of which are still being manifested. Considering that there will be seven trumpeting Angels, it is not difficult to guess how much time is left for mankind before the coming of Jesus Christ.
Another clear sign that the end of the world is approaching is computerization. The fact that they will not sell and buy for money is also indicated in the Bible.

Prophecies of Daniel (Old Testament)

The prophet Daniel had a supernatural ability to decipher dreams, as well as to predict events in the near and distant future. There is his prophecy about the specific date of the second coming of Jesus Christ. Naturally, it is also encrypted. By simple calculations, you can determine the approximate year of the coming of the Messiah (2036-2038).

Prophecies of modern seers about the second coming of Christ

Edgar Casey.
There are several interpretations and variants on this topic.
1. Option.
The birth of an unearthly child (2013) who will work supernatural miracles of healing. He is recognized as Jesus Christ, he will carry out an intermediary mission between humanity and aliens (fantasy for the naive). By the way, miracles of healing today are found literally in every church, of any denomination, simply through the prayer of pastors, priests and ordinary believers, which is a clear sign of the approaching Kingdom of Heaven.
Option 2.
The Messiah will appear from heaven at the beginning of the 21st century. A sign of the approach of His coming will be the discovery of the library of Atlantis under the sphinx in Egypt.

Vanga.
This seer did not have a specific indication of the date of the coming of Jesus Christ, but she spoke about the white robe of Jesus and that the coming was near.

Many have heard about the second coming of Christ, but not everyone knows exactly what will happen, what are the signs of this event and what outcome should be expected. Much is said about this event in the Bible and many predictors spoke about it.

What is the second coming of Christ?

Orthodoxy confesses an important truth that indicates that Jesus will come to earth one more time. This information was given to more than 2,000 followers at the time when the Savior ascended into heaven. The second coming of Jesus Christ will be very different from the first. He will come to earth as a spiritual king in divine light.

  1. It is believed that by this time each person will make a choice on which side to become good or evil.
  2. In addition, the second coming of Christ will occur after the dead are raised and the living are transfigured. The souls of people who have already died, connect with their bodies. After that, there will be a division into the Kingdom of God and Hell.
  3. Many are interested in whether Jesus Christ at the second coming will be a man or will appear in a different image. According to existing information, the Savior will be in a human body, but he will look different and his name will be different. This information can be found in Revelation.

Signs of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ

In the Bible and in other sources, one can find a description of the signs that indicate that "time X" is approaching. Each person himself is determined to believe him in whether there will be a second coming of Christ or not, everything depends on the strength of faith.

  1. The gospel will be spread throughout the world. Although the text of the Bible is being circulated by modern media, millions of people have never heard of this book. Before Christ comes down to earth again, the gospel will be spread everywhere.
  2. Finding out what the second coming of Christ will be, it is worth noting that there will be the appearance of fake prophets and Saviors who will spread false teachings. An example is various psychics and magicians, whom the church calls a manifestation of demonism.
  3. One of the signs is called a fall. Due to the growth of iniquity, many people stop loving not only each other, but also the Lord. People will betray, children will rebel against their parents, and so on.
  4. Finding out when the second coming of Christ is expected, it is worth pointing out that before this event there will be wars and disasters on earth. Natural disasters are also inevitable.
  5. Before the second coming, the devil will send the Antichrist to the earth.

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ – When Will It Happen?

When the Savior himself spoke of his own return, he claimed that no one knows when this will happen, neither the angels nor the saints, but only the Lord God. It is possible to independently understand when the second coming of Jesus Christ will be, since the Bible contains a description of events that will definitely occur before this great day. Believers who are close to the Lord will receive a sign that Jesus will soon come to earth, even before the events described in the Bible.

What will happen after the second coming of Christ?

The main idea of the re-emergence of Jesus on earth is a universal judgment on people - not only the living, but also the dead. The second coming of Jesus Christ will be the exact opposite of the Incarnation. After that, worthy people and the souls of the dead will inherit the eternal Kingdom, and those who sinned will be subject to torment. It is believed that after this great event, heaven and earth will unite, with the exception of the sphere where God is with the celestials. There is also an indication in the Bible that the earth and heaven will be created in a new way.

The Second Coming of Christ - What Does the Bible Say?

Many are looking for information about the appearance of the Savior in the most important source for believers - the Bible. The Gospel states that before it happens, Jesus will come to earth, who will make a just judgment, and it will concern both the living and the dead. According to the Bible, it is not clear when the second coming of Christ will take place, in terms of the exact date, since this information is known only to the Lord.

The Second Coming of Christ - Prophecy

Many well-known soothsayers predicted a great event when Jesus would come to earth and all sinners would pay for their deeds, and believers would receive a reward.

  1. Predictions about the second coming of Christ were given by the biblical prophet Daniel. He spoke about the date of this event, even before the moment when Jesus was first born. The researchers who deciphered the predictions determined the approximate date - this is 2038. Daniel argued that after the reappearance of Christ, people who do not accept the seal of the beast will live with Jesus on earth for another thousand years.
  2. Edgar Cayce offers two prophecies. The first option indicates that in 2013 in America the church was supposed to recognize Christ in a child of nine years old, but, as we see, this prediction did not come true. According to the second option, the Messiah will appear in the same image and age in which he was crucified on the cross. This event will take place at the end of the 20th - beginning of the 21st century. He made one more clarification that this would happen after the library of Atlantes was found under the Egyptian sphinx.

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ - the revelation of John the Theologian

One of the apostles in his sermons told that Christ would definitely come down to earth a second time, but he would no longer appear as a humiliated son of man, as it was for the first time, but as the true Son of God. He will be surrounded by angelic servants. The prophecies about the second coming of Jesus Christ indicate that this event will be terrible and formidable, since he will not save, but judge the world.

The apostle does not say when this event will take place, but he points out some signs of a great event. This concerns the impoverishment of faith and love among people. He confirms many Old Testament prophecies that numerous cataclysms will sweep the earth and signs will be seen in the sky. At this moment, it will be possible to see a sign in heaven about the appearance of the Son of the Lord.

Prophecy of Nostradamus about the second coming of Christ

The famous predictor described the events of the future not only verbally, but also through drawings, the number of which is huge.

  1. One of the images shows how Jesus descends from heaven, and around him there are many angels.
  2. Nostradamus says about the second coming of Christ that when this happens, the church will not recognize the new Messiah at first. This is explained by the fact that many clergymen have already defiled their souls, so they simply cannot recognize Jesus.
  3. Another image shows the Savior and a warrior who points a sword in his face. By this, Nostradamus wanted to say that many people and social groups will not accept the second coming of Christ and will resist him, but the Lord will stand up for him.
  4. Another picture shows that the new Messiah will be completely ordinary, that is, he will not stand out in any way among ordinary people.

Vanga about the second coming of Christ

The famous soothsayer helped people with prayers and was often asked if she had seen Jesus. Vanga has repeatedly talked about the second coming of Christ, which will happen in the near future. Jesus will descend to Earth in his white robes and the chosen people will feel in their hearts that an important time is coming. Vanga argued that the truth should be sought in the Bible, which will help all those who have cleansed themselves and risen morally.

Predictions of Jesus Christ about the end of the world and His second coming

Jesus Christ foretold the future of our world and all people. He taught that the end of the world would come, and the earthly life of the human race would end; then He will come to earth a second time and resurrect all people (then the bodies of all people will again unite with their souls and come to life), and then Jesus Christ will judge people and reward everyone according to his deeds. "Do not marvel at this," said Jesus Christ, "for the time is coming when all that are in the tombs will hear the voice" of the Son of God, and those who hear will live; and they will come out of the graves - some who did good, for eternal, blessed life, and others who did evil, for condemnation.

His disciples asked: "Tell us when this will be, and what is the sign of Your (second) coming and the end of the world?"

In response to this, Jesus Christ warned them that before His coming, in glory, to earth, such hard times for people would come, such as had not happened since the beginning of the world. There will be various disasters: famine, pestilence, earthquakes, frequent wars. Iniquity will multiply; faith will weaken; many will not love each other. Many false prophets and teachers will appear who will deceive people and corrupt them with their pernicious teaching. But first the gospel of Christ will be preached throughout the earth as a witness to all nations.

Before the very end of the world there will be great, terrifying signs in the sky; the sea will roar and rage; despondency and bewilderment will take possession of people, so that they will die from fear and from the expectation of disasters for the whole world. In those days, after that sorrow, the sun will grow dim, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of heaven will be shaken. Then the sign of Jesus Christ (His cross) will appear in heaven; then all the tribes of the earth will mourn (for fear of the judgment of God) and they will see Jesus Christ walking on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. As lightning flashes in the sky from east to west (and is immediately visible everywhere), so (visibly for everyone, suddenly) will be the coming of the Son of God.

About the day and hour of His coming to earth, Jesus Christ did not tell His disciples; “Only My Heavenly Father knows about this,” He said, and taught to be always ready to meet the Lord.

“The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15), - this is the main idea in the preaching of Christ. He Himself explains to people how to understand the prophecies about His birth, death and Second Coming.

The birth of the Messiah was proclaimed primarily in Judea. On the hills of Bethlehem, angels announced the birth of Jesus. Magi came to Jerusalem in search of Him. Here Christ called His first disciples, and here most of His earthly ministry took place. His divinity, so clearly manifested during the cleansing of the temple, the miraculous healings performed by Him, and the lessons spoken by His lips - all this reinforced His words, spoken to the Sanhedrin after the healing of the sick man in Bethesda, that He is the Son of God.

The Sanhedrin rejected the message of Christ and desired His death. Jesus, having left Jerusalem, the priests, the temple, the religious leaders and legalists, turned to another part of the society to proclaim His message and choose those who would preach the gospel to all nations.

Just as in the days of Christ the church authorities rejected the light and the life in Christ, the same pattern is seen in every succeeding generation. When the reformers began to preach the Word of God, they did not even think of separating from the established church, but the religious leaders turned out not to need light, and those who carried it were forced to turn to another part of society, to people who were thirsty for the truth.

The Jerusalem rabbis despised the inhabitants of Galilee, considering them rude and ignorant, but the Savior found fertile ground here. People here were more open to accepting the truth. Galilee at that time was densely populated by people of different nationalities, and there were much more of them than in Judea.

When Jesus traveled through Galilee, instructing and healing the people, many people flocked to Him from cities and villages. Many even came from Judea and the surrounding areas. Sometimes it was necessary to restrain the enthusiasm of the people so that the Roman authorities did not suspect an uprising. Never before has the world experienced such a time as this. The sky is closer to the people. Hungry and thirsty souls were saturated with the grace of the Savior.

The gospel message preached by the Savior Himself was based on prophecy. The “time” that He announced was the prophetic period mentioned by the archangel Gabriel in conversation with Daniel: “Seventy weeks are appointed for your people and your holy city, so that transgression may be covered, sins may be sealed, and iniquities may be blotted out, and eternal righteousness may be brought forth, and the vision and the prophet may be sealed, and the Holy of Holies may be anointed” (Daniel 9:24) . A day in prophecy equals a year (see Numbers 14:34; Ezekiel 4:6). Seventy weeks, or four hundred and ninety days, means four hundred and ninety years.

The countdown was given: “Therefore, know and understand: from the time the command goes out to rebuild Jerusalem, until Christ the Sovereign is seven weeks and sixty-two weeks” (Daniel 9:25), - 69 weeks, or 483 years. The command to rebuild and build Jerusalem, put into effect by the decree of Artaxerxes Longiman (see Ezra 6:14; 7:1, 9), came out in the autumn of 457 B.C. From this time we count 483 years and get the date: 27 ad. According to prophecy, at the end of this time, the Messiah, the anointed of God, should come. In AD 27, Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit at the time of his baptism, and shortly thereafter began His ministry. Then the message sounded: "The time is fulfilled."

"And he shall establish the covenant for many for one week." For seven years after the Savior began His ministry, the gospel was to be preached mainly to the Jews: three and a half years by Christ Himself, and then by the apostles. “In the middle of the week, the sacrifice and the offering will cease” (Daniel 9:27). In the spring of AD 31, Christ - the true sacrifice - was crucified on Golgotha. And then the veil in the temple was torn into two parts - a sign that the sacrificial service had lost its holiness and significance. The time for earthly sacrifice and offering is over.

One week - seven years - ended in A.D. 34. After stoning Stephen, the Jews finally rejected the Gospel: the disciples, scattered due to persecution, “went and preached the word” (Acts 8:4). After some time, the persecutor Saul converted and became Paul, the apostle of the Gentiles.

The time of Christ's coming, His anointing with the Holy Spirit, His death, and the proclaiming of the gospel to the Gentiles are clearly indicated by prophecy. The Jewish people were given the opportunity to comprehend these prophecies and observe their fulfillment in the mission of Jesus. Christ pointed out to His disciples the importance of studying prophecy. Referring to Daniel's prophecy of that time, He said: “He who reads, let him understand” (Matthew 24:15).

Archangel Gabriel, second in position after the Son of God, came to Daniel with the Divine message. It was Gabriel, “His angel,” that Christ sent to reveal the future to His beloved John. All who read and hear the words of the prophecy and keep what is written in it are promised a blessing.

“For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7). God's blessings will always accompany a reverent, prayerful study of the prophetic Scriptures.

Just as the message of the First Coming of Christ proclaimed the Kingdom of His grace, so the message of the Second Coming proclaims the Kingdom of His glory. This message is also based on prophecy. Everything that the angel said to Daniel regarding the last days must be understood in the last days. Then "many will read it [the book] and knowledge will increase." The Savior Himself, pointing to the signs of His coming, said: “When you see that coming true, know that the Kingdom of God is near… Look after yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with overeating and drunkenness and worldly cares, and lest that day come upon you suddenly… Therefore, watch at all times and pray, yes be able to escape all these future [disasters] and stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:31, 34, 36).

We have reached the prophetic age foretold in these Scriptures. The time of the end has come, the visions of the prophets are open, their solemn warnings point to the nearness of the coming of the Lord in glory. But the kingdom of this world occupies people's minds, and they do not notice the fast-fulfilling prophecies and signs of the soon-coming Kingdom of God. And although we do not know the hour of the Lord's return, we know that it is near, so we ask each reader to carefully study the prophecies of the Bible and pray in order to be ready to meet the Savior Jesus Christ and inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.

Ellen White, The Desire of Ages

The Second Coming of Christ is currently awaited by all Christians. However, no one knows the exact date when such an important event will occur. Consider several versions, because people have been trying to find the answer to this question for a very long time.

First of all, one should turn to such a serious source as the Bible. So what does it say about this event? The Gospel says that before the end of the world, Jesus, the Son of Man, will come to the sinful Earth for the second time. It was then that on Earth he will make his just judgment, and the judgment will affect both the living and the dead. However, as for the date when this judgment will take place, the Bible says that only God himself knows about it. Nobody else can know about it. At the same time, in the same place in the Gospel it is precisely indicated that the Second Coming of Jesus will happen suddenly. But this version also raises some questions. Jesus Christ always, according to Scripture, considered himself not the Son of Man, but the Son of God. That's exactly what he said about himself in 1 person. If he spoke of himself in the 3rd person, then only then it was about the Son of Man. Comparing such nuances, we can assume that it will not be Christ who will judge on Earth, but some completely different person, and it will be she who will appear on our Earth before the very end.

Prophet Daniel

The predictions of Daniel, one of the biblical prophets, are also of interest. Directly about the forthcoming date of the Second Coming of Christ, Daniel spoke even before Jesus was born. The researchers were able to figure out that, approximately, this will happen in 2038. According to Daniel's predictions, after the Second Coming of Jesus, all people who do not accept the seal of the beast will live on earth with Christ for another thousand years.

Edgar Cayce

Edgar Cayce was also interested in the answer to this question. There are 2 versions of his predictions regarding this event. Some people find option 1 implausible. If we consider option 2, it turns out that Christ himself will come to Earth for the second time. He will be 33 years old, because he ascended to heaven at that age. This will happen, according to Casey, as soon as the Atlantean library is found, somewhere in the middle of the 21st century. According to Casey, the Third World War is not expected, but the Earth will be affected by seismic and climatic cataclysms. Because of this, the Planet will change a lot, and will never be the same.

Vanga

Vanga also spoke about the second coming of Christ. She assured that it would be very soon, but did not name the exact date. The clairvoyant predicted that Christ would come down to earth in white clothes. His appearance, according to Vanga, will be felt by those who truly believe in him.

Apocalypse

Already at the moment of the First Coming of Christ, the struggle of the Antichrist against Christ began. At his Second Coming, the final battle will take place. The Second Coming will be a triumph of justice, life will conquer death, Christ will conquer the Antichrist. In this battle, on the side of Christ, those who, between good and evil, took the side of good, will take part.
“He who overcomes inherits everything, and I will be his God, and he will be my son” (Rev. 21:7).
